Provenance: Deposited on permanent loan by Sir Maurice Hallett, 21 February 1960.
Notes:
Subjects: official visits - viceregal tours
Description: Black post-bound album, 195x275mm, containing uncaptioned prints mounted at the corners. Pages are interleaved with tissue. A white label on the front cover has the handwritten title, 'Chakrata'. A typed label on the inside front cover reads: 'Presented by Din Brothers, Photographers, sadar Bazar, Chakarata'. The majority of views are snapshots taken during the visit of Sir Maurice and Lady Hallett, however the last five prints are headed by the caption: 'Snapshots of His Excellency Lord Irwin and Lady Irwin, the Viceroy of India, taken at Chakarata in 1930 by us, Din Brothers, Chakarata'.
