Miniature depicting God in heaven telling Moses (with horns), Aaron (a bishop with crozier and mitre), and an attendant, all standing before an altar, to instruct the Children of Israel in proper forms of sacrifice. Illuminated initial 'A'(pres) begins Leviticus Chapter One. Decoration extends into a partial border. Instructions to the artist are found at the lower part of the folio. |
